Hello Everyone!!!
This blog post is long overdue because I planned to post after the game presentations but just didn't have time.
First we were excited at Doddridge County to be a part of the Voices In The Field segment that Globaloria does. They interviewed our Principal, me, and a student. We are all looking forward to seeing the finished product here soon.
After the taping of the documentary, I was able through the help of the Globaloria After School Program to have two teams finish their games completely. It was exciting for them and myself to go through this complete experience. The game presentations didn't go bad but I knew my students wished they would have had more of the information the Globaloria team discussed with them already in place for their games.
We then spent the following Monday here at the school until 9:30 making sure everything was ready to go for their games.
The students didn't make it to the finals of the STEM or CIVICS but were pleased with the work that they did accomplish. All three that stayed after school were rewarded with the first every Globaloria Above and Beyond Award. They all were excited to win and I felt it was well deserving.
I am going to finish by stating that this year in Globaloria has been a great learning experience for me and I hope to continue into the following year!!!!
